This summer marks the 50th anniversary of the USA moon landing! Learn all about the moon, our closest companion in the sky, as you rotate around the room, create moon phases, and drop meteorites to form craters on our very own moonscape. Includes a look at what makes a "blue moon," the moons of the other planets, and a short reading from "Thirteen Moons on Turtles Back."
Select a wrapped book from the "Blind Date with a Book" display. Unwrap it, check it out and read it.

Monroe County Library is pleased to offer its cardholders access to Lynda.com’s library of instructional videos. Normally, using Lynda.com requires a paid subscription, but as a Monroe County Library cardholder you can access Lynda.com content from any computer with an internet connection simply by entering your library card number and PIN (Your PIN is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number).
Use our collection of databases to locate information on a broad range of subjects including auto repair, genealogy, home repair, health, and hobbies and crafts, and much more. You can access magazine and journal articles, newspapers, and encyclopedias. If you’re connecting from home, work, or school, you will need a valid library card and PIN, which is usually the last four digits of your phone number.

Join the Summer Reading Program! For ages birth thru 6th grade. Check the calendar for all the events the library will be having throughout the program. The program runs May 29 - July 9.

The lbraries fall & winter hours will begin on September 1st and run through May 31st.
The library will be having a used book sale in the library meeting room on Thursday thru Saturday, May 11-13 during regular business hours. Books are just 10¢ each.
