Open up the Past! Libraries, museums, genealogical and historical societies have treasures in their collections. Many of these came from people who stored their personal treasures for generations in a shoebox. The Digital Shoebox brings these historical treasures together in a searchable online scrapbook. It will serve as a primary resource for materials relating to the rich history and culture of Southeastern Ohio--the "start of it all!"

Genealogy Research Room

Visit the Genealogy Research Room at the library. The Monroe County Genealogical Society maintains this collection of data on Monroe County and related areas.

Kid Zone

Kid Zone is a collection of librarian tested, kid approved links to online games, learning activities, and research tools that help kids develop literacy skills. Kid Zone was inspired by watching children enjoy our Early Literacy Station in the library.
