Thank you Summer Reading donors!

The Library would like to thank the many donors who made donations to the 2019 "Universe of Stories" Summer Reading Program.  We rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses to offer this program to the Community and the support is greatly appreciated.

The Monroe County Library held its annual Summer Reading Program June 10-July 19 with the theme “Universe of Stories.”  Any child birth through grade six could join. The program concluded with a Kona Ice party at the Library, which 72 participants attended. One hundred and thirty-five children joined the program with 97 completing it. Participants had six weeks to read at least 10 books. During the six weeks, several activities were planned including Tom Sieling, the music man; Oglebay Institute Lunar Lunacy; Monroe Central Science Olympiad;  Daniel Caron, Nature Photographer; and crafts.
