John Ogden will be with us May 9th at 2:00PM to discuss the Underground Railroad and the role Monroe County played.

Adventure Begins At Your Library is this years summer reading program theme. The program begins May 20th and runs to July 1st. Anyone between the ages of Birth and 6th grade can sign up. Just read 10 books from the library to complete the program. At the end there will be a party with prizes and certificates. We will also have programs throughout that are not mandatory to attend but the more programs you attend the more chances you have to win a grand prize at the end of the program. You must complete the program to win the grand prize. 

Sign ups for Summer Reading Program begin today!! Your child may sign up any day after this date. This program is for ages Birth- 6th grade. You must read 10 books from the library and write them down in your reading record we provide to complete the program. There will be programs along the way your child can attend if they wish. The more programs attended the better their chances at winning a grand prize. They must read 10 books before the end of the program to win the grand prize.

June 3rd at 11:00 AM at the Monroe County Theatre we will be having Realm of the Reptile - Sponsored by Citizens National Bank, Woodsfield True Value, Bauer & Turner Furniture, Yoss Law Office, Woodsfield KFC/Taco Bell. 

Realm of the Reptile has been on the Discovery Channel's Snaketacular. They bring reptiles from around the globe and provide   "hands-on" treatment that will be remembered for years to come. Photographs are allowed.

This program is not just for our summer reading kids. It is open to the public so everyone can come and enjoy!

June 10th at 11:00AM at the Monroe County Theatre. This is a summer reading club event. Open to any children ages Birth - 6th grade. You can register the day of the event.

June 17th at 11:00 AM at the library. Monroe Soil and Water are joining us to read a story and plant a seed. This is a program for summer reading. If you are interested in registering your children you still can. Ages are Birth - 6th grade. You can register the day of the event.

This event is at the library. We will be doing some basic art painting with Kelly Meredith along with sidewalk chalk art. The Boys &  Girls Club on the GO will also be stationed in our parking lot with activities for the kids. This is a summer reading event. If you are interested in coming you can still register your child. Ages are Birth - 6th grade. You can register the day of the event.

This is the last day to write down book titles for the children participating on our Summer Reading Club. If they do not complete their book records they do not win a prize or get a certificate.

THIS EVENT IS FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE PROGRAM.

We are having a meet the candidates night at the library from 5:00 to 7:00. More information to come.
